Marc Shulman

Gift Horse is a showcase for visionary guitarist, Marc Shulman. From the delicate acoustic arpeggios on "Bodiless" to the burning electric leads on "Hold Out," Marc demonstrates his tremendous versatility and his unsurpassed ability to tune into a song's lyrical and musical essence and create parts that elevate and inspire, without showboating or getting in the way. This ability has made him a much sought-after player for both studio and live performances. In addition to having toured and recorded with Suzanne Vega for seven years, Marc:

• Has played with the Bacon Brothers, Chris Botti, Shawn Colvin, Cliff Eberhardt, Martha Reeves, Junior Wells, Billy Vera  and Jewel.
• Has recorded with, among others, Will Ackerman, Marc Anthony, The Bee Gees, Dee Carstensen, Devonsquare, Celine Dion, Derrik Jordan, Lucy Kaplansky, Jennifer Kimball, Patty Larkin, David McGrath, October Project, Bob Telson, Vanessa Williams and Kip Winger.
• Was a member of the house band on Richard Belzer's Lifetime Cable Show, Hot Properties, on which he performed with B.B. King, Charlie Pride, Bo Diddley and Rodney Crowell.
• Has played on the soundtracks to the films, Philadelphia, Pokemon and  Wendigo.
